Major Sigh.

Feel so much more satisfied now. Though I'd skipped lunch, but the house looks better now, at least the inside. Vacuumed the whole place. And it took the whole morning for me to vacuum just one bloody carpet. Argh. Main reason for all the hair stuck on it. It just gets on me nerves. Irritating stuff.

Cleaned out the kitchen as well as toilets.

And damn, this is like some housewife's blog now. Irritating.

So, yeah. Haven't really step out of the house, 'cept to get some groceries. Was told by Jie there will be some sale going on at the city. Maybe shall check that out tomorrow. If I'm in the mood.

Then again, maybe I'll give Rottnest a go tomorrow. That, or on Friday. Let's see how things go first.

And it feels quite good to be home alone. Hahaha. Plugging my laptop into the stereo system & playing music straight off. Plugging my laptop into the tee-vee, doing things from there. Or just simply camping out in the living room for various reasons.

And... My mind's a blank.

Oh, an Audrey's turning 21 celebration seems to be quite happening. Dressing up as an alter ego. Whatever that is, ought to be interesting. Wonder if the rest of them will do so. Hahaha. It'll be a laugh for me 3,800km away.

Hahaha.

Believe it or not, this apple took me approximately an hour to eat. Hahaha.

And after some research, I guess I won't be heading to Rottnest anytime soon. DAMN. Reason? It's freaking expensive to do so. Like, a ferry ride alone cost about AU$60 to AU$70. That's for a day trip thing. And then there's an entry fee to the island itself (HUH?! WTF!). And on top of that, the bike rental cost AU$20 to AU$30. Sobs... Jobs... Any job... Where are you...

And I'd realised that a lifeguard job is next to impossible for me now.

According to the website, closest training place? 300km away. How's that for starters eh? Second, the price of the course is ~AU$490. Now, that won't be as much of a worry if it weren't for number 3. And that is, when I do get the certification, I don't think I'm necessarily guaranteed a job. And last, who knows where the closest pool is? And beach & pool lifeguard are 2 totally different certification. And I'm not too sure if the closest beach here has requirement for a lifeguard.

So... There are certainly other options. But, me guess it's not going to be easy.

Sigh...

Guitar Hero on Wii is actually quite fun. Hahaha. Though I kind of suck at it. Still, it's good fun. Heheh.

And just had the weirdest of dream today. Okay. Maybe 'cos it's an extremely rare occurrence that I can recall a single dream.

So, the dream went like this. I was at a swimming pool of sorts. A water carnival was going on. I was part of it. So, was in my swimming trunks, and oddly, my webbing & fieldpack on as well. Hmmm... It was fun & laughter, I was waiting for my turn (at who knows what).

Then, somehow, one way or another, somebody in the pool started struggling. Then it became drowning.

By some miraculously feat, I stripped off my webbing & fieldpack in a second & was at the drowning person's side in an instant. Managed to rescue him/her & got him/her out. And then I received a text message from a friend: "Ponyo! You saved a person!" Weird.

Erm... That's about it?

And I'd realised, cooking dinner for 1 person is kind of weird. Yea, you could have your choice of what you want to eat. And you don't have to worry whether the food turns out good or absolutely disgusting. But the portion when cooking just look miserably small. Hahaha.

I kind of think I'm eating 1½ person's portion...

And... Still no luck with jobs.

On some other hand, I'm currently having sleeping disorder. Damn it. I really need to adjust my sleeping hours. Start sleeping at 0000hrs instead of 0300++hrs. And waking up at 0700hrs to 0800hrs instead of 1200+++hrs. Sigh...

NOO!!!

ARGH! AHH!! FUCK! What the hell did I just do man?! AHH!!! Fuck, fuck, fuck!

Ahhh... Damn it. Damn it all.

So, I played through Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands, Wii version. And. And. AND. I. Freaking. Accidentally. Skipped. The last scene! AHH!!! Kind of like. One of the closure scene! Ah... What did I do to deserve this... *Sobs*

And I've no idea whether I can access it from an after game play section... *Sobs*

Now. I'll be having the whole house to myself for a week. Yep. The. Whole. House. Amazing, isn't it? Haha. Both cousins are away on vacation. Wow. Wonder what I'm going to do over the next few days. Hmmm...

Thoughts.

It's cold. So cold. For the whole of today. Ever since I woke up. So cold.

In the house, there's this little, miniature heater. Almost useless unless you're an inch away from it. Well, thing is, I'm using this right now.

I keep putting my bolster of a cow, or the cushion of the owl, on it. I'm not sure if it's me or something. But. I keep thinking that I'm seeing smoke. Smoke coming out from underneath my cow. And it's freaking me out. Like, it's going to burst into flames any moment. And I'll probably cry if it does. But that's besides the point. Thing is. Will it even survive long hours on top of the heater? Hmmm...

And... Erm. Nevermind. Just random things running through my mind. Definitely, Maybe.

Maybe next time, I'll migrate to New York and stay there. Seems pretty interesting enough.

Though it's kind of strange to think why will I even think about migrating there when I'm older. I've never even been there in my life. Hmmm. Strange indeed.

Travels

Nothing a much happening. As usual. Did my job application today. Though...It's not exactly completed. Just missing out on one stupid email address. Then, I should be done with it. That, one, my boss's email.

SO. What am I applying for? Erm... Coles, Easy Way Tea & Bunnings. Yep. Don't know what's that? Google (Australia) it. Hahaha. Yes, I know I'm irritating.

Remembered I mentioned how I have 2 of my friends who went backpacking? Well, just saw one of their profile picture on Facebook. It was an awesomely cool display picture. *Envy*

This got me thinking on the places I want to go, should I have the capability to. *Dreaming*

So... Egypt's definitely one of them. I think it's quite a possible destination. Visit the deserts. The tombs. The pyramids. It's been a childhood fantasy of mine to go there actually. I think that fantasy was heavily influenced by the Tomb Raider game... Hmmm...

And I suppose Venice is one of those place I would like to visit too. Again, influence from Tomb Raider game. The second series, to be more precise.

Machu Picchu seems like an interesting place too...

Oh, Oh! And how can I ever forget Russia. More specifically, I want to go Chernobyl. Chernobyl. It's this place in Russia, near Ukraine, where it's left deserted. Abandoned. I would really really love to go there.

What's so amazing about the place? Well, I first knew of it's existence from... Erm... A game. Yes, what the hell right. You must be thinking my knowledge of everything comes from games now. ANYWAY, so, the place have been described by many others as being frozen in time since the nuclear explosion from the plant in April 1986.

Since then, the place have been left isolated. A boundary had been set around it to prevent people from entering it so easily. But in recent years, people have start moving back in. Though not to the core of the explosion. More of on the outskirts of the area. And hopefully, it'll stay like that for the next 50 years or so.

And then, during which, hopefully, I get enough funds to go there and have a look for myself & go camera crazy, snapping away at each & every single thing. I'll probably have to bring 2 monsters of a SD card when I do.

Ooh... I can't stop dreaming about it.

Well, besides Chernobyl, there's this place called the Dancing Forest (I think), due to the nature of the trees. It's... 38km from Curonian Spit. So they say. And while they appear weird. I think they're amazing all the same. Kind of like, a page out from fantasy books.

Just some of the trees in the forest. No idea how they turn up like that.

And... Well, there's this place in the Kamchatka Peninsula. A volcanic area, erm... Caldera of Uzon (that's a volcano). Supposedly, it's near the Valley of Geysers.

Why there? Well, 'cos there's hot pools, boiling mud pools, hot wells and mud volcanoes. Nothing amazing, yeah. But all these things are found side by side. Okay, not that interesting enough yet. Well, to me, it's the abundant of vegetation there. Not just any vegetation of course, but vegetation & seaweed of extraordinary colors. Yep. I've seen some photos of it. They just look amazing.

Erm... Yeah. It's another photo spot for me. That's one reason why I would like to go there.

And gosh. There are so many more places. I just can't name them all here. It'll take too much space & it's too long anyway. Like, even Antarctic is one of the places I would like to go. It will probably be one of my dying regrets that I'd never gone there, since going there for leisure is just a fucking hell of a price. If you get what I mean. And there's also the 7 (past, present & counting) Wonders of the World? Not forgetting more commonly known places like Maldives, Hawaii, Grand Canyon, Nigeria Falls... Ahh! The thought of all these are killing me.

I think Russia's a pretty amazing place, that I do.

Watched "Just Follow Law" today. Yea, I know. I'm slow & lagging. But hey, so what? At least I watched it. And I'm finding it quite hilarious.

Black & white.

½ Day Trip

Ever since that movie, I've been playing "Prince of Persia" almost every single day. Damn.

So, Vic's headed back to Singapore today. Technically, yesterday, since it's past 2359 hours now. Somehow, her going back is making me excited & can't wait for December/January to come. But, I'm quite sure it's just a spur of the moment kind of thing. I think I'll lose that feeling over the next few days. And get it back again in December. Haha.

Had a "Saw" movie marathon on Friday night. Made through 2, 3 & 4. Towards the end of 4, my cousin concussed. We had 5, but I'd watched it before. So I ended up watching "Tooth Fairy". And damn. It sucks. Couldn't be worse. So disappointed in you, Mr. Johnson.

Watched "Kick-Ass" the day after. Had me cracking at the start. Pretty cool fight scenes. Wished it had kept up with its humor till the end though. I seriously thought it was an all-humor-throughout kind of movie. But it sort of let down halfway through.

And today. Brunch at Exomod. I'm starting to love their Continental Breakfast. It's kind of like, Mac's Big Breakfast. Just more atas looking.

After that, did a little window+shopping.

Dropped Vic off at the airport & decided to head to Mundaring.

It was a pretty nice place. Rural, trees, greenery, river. Nice place, really.

More specifically, Mundaring Weir. That place has this dam there. So, yep. I liked the walk across it. Windy, open space. Scenery you can never get in Singapore. Hahaha.

Oh! OH! And they had this ice-cream truck there. I'd always seen it on cartoons & the likes. But never seen a real one up till now. had seen one before, at the old place, Churchland. They had one there, at a parking lot near a park near the Swan river. But buying from one is different. Haha. Cute ice-cream truck.

And here's a picture of me halfway(?) across the dam. Yea. It's windy out there. Which could make places rather cold sometimes. It's not the temperature, but the wind. Unless if you're talking about below 10.

And damn it. I have a freaking pimple of my right cheek. It's so outstanding. HAHAHA. The photo above is considered not bad already. Over-exposed by the sun. Argh. Pimples. I wonder what will happen if humans don't have pimples. Not just the simple, "they will look better without pimples" kind of answer. But anatomically. What will happen? Okay. Too much science.

Back to track. So, hung around Mundaring for the rest of the day. Started heading back around 1700 hours (I think). And, oh! OH! I forgot. I saw the moon too! At around 1530+ hours today! I was quite surprised actually. Never thought the moon could be seen at such a time. In the middle of the day. A picture of it:

The small little, roundish speck of white in the sky, near the top left hand corner. Yep. That's the moon. Not a full moon. Which makes it all the more attractive. And rural Australia is pretty amazing. Big land. Open spaces. Big houses. Pretty houses. By the way, it's not all of them like these. Just, the better ones. Haha. Selective sightings. Alright, so I did see the normal ones, but, didn't really focus on them for much details.

And now, to grab some grub. Feeling hungry. Maybe I should have went to sleep earlier then. Hmph.

星期二, 六月 15, 2010

Destiny.

Nice. Wonka's out of the way now. No more "hee-hee-ha-ha-ho-ho" anymore. Haha.

Finally caught Prince of Persia. And DAMN. It's awesome. The action is just non-stop & amazing at the same time. Swing, flip & tumble. And I kind of like that human feel to the character when he does those climbing. Not all supernatural.

And it seems like no desert-related-with-the-heros-&-action kind of film, it's never complete & one without the protagonist landing in a room full of ladies. HAHA.

Oh man. Feeling so hyped from the movie.

Prince of Persia... Think I'll start on the game tomorrow.

In the meantime, I think I'm developing a chaetophobia. Seriously, almost everywhere I go, it's there. When I'm watching tee-vee, when I'm cooking... Even when I'm DOING the LAUNDRY. But that's not the worst part. The worst part is... It's even in my room! I was like, "WTF?! How the hell this got here!?"

Yea. So there you have it. Chaetophia.

And... Why do I get the feeling like, my posts are getting longer & longer. It's like. There's so much more to scroll down now than last time. Weird.

Oh, and for anyone reading my blog, would you happen to know how to change the width of the blog? Right now, I've 2 extremely huge borders on the left & right of the main body. I want to make it smaller. So that I can put bigger pictures in and not re-size them till that small.

Thanks in advance. Hee-hee.

When the Evil Shredder attacks!

Okay, it's a tad small, but I think readers should be able to read. Since I assume most if not all, of my readers are young people with decent eyesight. So, chanced upon this just now. Funny stuff. Both had me cracking.

I like the second especially. Mainly 'cos I use, and still am (I think), of Ninja Turtles. Like, to me, they stand side by side with Batman & Spiderman. That's how cool they are to me. Hahaha.

And in turtles' words.Cowa-Bunga!

It's spelled that way. I think.

And I just found out that Ninja Turtles going to have a reboot! In 2011. Not sure if it's real, but keeping my fingers crossed. 'Cos what I heard, or rather, read is that they're going to make it darker this time.

Darker? As in Batman-dark-dark? Yep. In case you didn't realise. Ninja Turtles comics started out pretty dark. It was something like Batman. But minus the investigations, one man army and cool gadgets. And replaced with 4 ninjas. Turtles.

So, if it's real, I'll be looking forward to it. 'Cos seriously, the 2007 Ninja Turtles. It was a titanic letdown. The trailer looked damn freaking cool & awesome. But the movie turned out quite nonsensical.

Oh well. Sleep.

And if you're wondering, my favorite turtle among those 4? Michaelangelo.

Can't live without games. Period.

Swapped "Obscure 2" today. And guess what I swapped it for? "Prince of Persia". HAH. No. I'm not jumping onto the bandwagon. I already notice the existent of the game ever since 1990s. Mid 90s to be more precise. I notice the game some what after I found Tomb Raider. It's just that I haven't really got around to getting it, since it's not exactly a mainstream game. I thought it looked cool, but wasn't sure of the gameplay. And given my financial dependence, no way could I afford it.

So, yep. And I'd realised today, that Wii games are like. Really for the family. XBox has much cooler games. Though they're way more expensive.

My dream home, is going to have a Wii console, & a XBox as well. Equipped together with one or two heavily modified PC for gaming. Wii is fun & entertainment for all. But the really awesome games, comes from XBox & PC. In my opinion. Not too sure 'bout a PS though. It doesn't seem all that interesting nowadays.

And talking about games, let's go on a little further.

I think games are like. A work of art. From the adrenaline pumping first person shooters, to heart thumping horrors, to the gut wrenching violence and gore and to the silly and funny games. Obscure 2 is a failure when it comes down to any one genre. It failed to scare (in the long run). It failed to deliver action (non-stop).

Talking about scare. I haven't tried Fatal Frame nor Fear before. Wonder how scary they can get. But the THE one horror game I really really will refuse to play alone. At night. Is Silent Hill. Damn it. That game just scare the wits of me. I like how they play with your imagination. And that's a scary thing.

And to think the game's banned in some countries. Oh. I think Dead Space is quite creepy too. Sci-fi creepy.

Oh, oh. First person shooters game are not bad too. Far Cry 2, Call of Duty, Left 4 Dead, Fear. Just to name a few titans in my opinion. And yes. I don't do Dota or WoW at that. Whatever Dota abbreviates as.

I guess RPGs are fun too. I like it for their storyline more than the gameplay. And of course, with decent graphics. The only 2 RPGs I played, for its era, with not-so-good graphics, yet I find them totally amazing (even more so than the rest). And I'd even placed them Number 1 & 2 in my list of RPGs played & want to play. Xenogears & Vagrant Story.

For both games, they have good artworks or concept arts. And it differs greatly from the in game graphics. Still, both games are just epic. And not recommended for kids. It's hard to master the controls for both. But once one get use to it, it's just awesome. Also, the story's kind of deep. There's twist & turns, & well, I didn't really get the story at the start too.

Okay. Enough about games huh. But I guess I kind of like violent games more than other genre. I mean. To make all that. Is an art form in its own discipline. Of course, there are exceptions. Like Tomb Raider.

And how could I forget Metal Gear Solid. And, and Splinter Cell. Aww, shucks. So many great games out there that I'd like to try. But great games have great prices too. For starters, one would need the battleship to mothership of PCs. Nothing less. Else, the game would just get frustrating since it will definitely be lagging most of the time. And... Laptops aren't exactly made for gaming. Maybe the new Mac can. As well as Alienware. Other than these 2, don't think there's anymore.

Okay, I should really stop with the games huh.

Ah well, games. What do I do without them. Life's a living hell without games.

Scatter Brain

I don't get it. Blogger not allowing me to upload any photos. And... I just forgot what I wanted to blog about after I'd showered.

Erm...

Okay. I'd completed a game in 2 days? It's an okay game, I guess. Out of 10, I'll give it 6 or 6½. Should be made a movie, instead of a game. Basically, it's kind of like a... Highs school/University thriller-horror genre game. Okay on the 1st play. But not much of a re-playability value. So, now that I'm done with this game, I'm going to go back to the shop and change it for another (better one, hopefully) game.

Got another game. This one's more fun though. Tenchu: Shadow Assasin.

I kind of suck at stealth games. And games that requires timing. But I still think it's a good game. I'll probably be spending tonnes of time, replaying it so that i can get a better rating in the game.

And I've yet to watch Prince of Persia.

And damn. I keep forgetting what I want to blog down. Argh. It's starting to get on my nerves, 'cos it's not just one or two times. It's been a few times. In a row. Part of the reason why my blog's been kind of stagnant for a while.

Fine. Since I can't recall what I wanted to blog about. I shall put some random stuff here. Damn it.

Okay. So, recently, I've been quite hooked onto old songs. 1930s to 1950s jazzy old songs. It all started one fine day. When Jie, Vic & I went out for brunch. Then we strolled along the street, ventured into this shop, and it was playing this song. They say by Billie Holiday. So, I've a few of this type of songs now. I'm loving the tune, the mood, the groove. It has this phenomenal feel to it. And I realised it's quite difficult to find such songs on the net.

Another thing, hopefully, I will clean up the house. It's getting into... Quite an atrocious state. There's... Erm... O.M.G. I can't bring myself to say it. It's too gross. And then there's the outer compound as well. Grass, ant trails. It's getting on my nerves. But there's almost nothing I can do about the grass now. Unless I burn it.

Also, to get a job. Yes, still jobless-hunting.

Clean up the oven. So I can get to eat (hopefully) some yummy food.

This is turning into some, winter resolution list.

Workout more. So that I can return to Singapore without the insulation around me.

Start drawing.

And I guess that's pretty much it for what I want to do during winter. Oh. And perhaps give Rottnest a go.

I shall go to sleep now. Need to wake up early tomorrow since I'm leaving with Jie early in the morning tomorrow. And. Uber good luck to Vic if she forget her keys again, should she be returning in the morning or afternoon.

So, then. Good night.

Oh, and thanks for the thoughts Audrey & Valerie. Too bad, it's a one sided thing. ʘ‿ʘ

Just kidding. You girls are missed dearly. ツ

Movies!

First post from school?

And I've finally watched Ip Man 2! Like. Finally. And just in time too. They had left one time slot per day. And when I went, There were only 4 people in the whole cinema. And that includes me & Vic. And talking 'bout Vic, can't believe she actually fell asleep while watching the show. *Unleash Ip Man's ∞ hit combo* Hahaha.

Morale of the story? I need a new movie partner. Hahaha. Volunteers, anyone?

Done with the bulk of my assignments. Left with the final version of the essay, due this Friday.

And realization hit me today. I've got 1 exam! Although it's just one. But. It's making me damn nervous & anxious. Like, I haven't touch exams in years. And the course structure isn't like what it was in school days. So, pretty hard to get a feel of where you stand.

Next movie to catch. Prince of Persia. And I'd better do it fast. And movies here are like. Fucking ex. Yes. I'll repeat. Fucking ex. Like, there's no other adjective to better describe the degree of its expensiveness. Sigh...

A place which I always pass by should i be cycling to & fro school. Coin laundry is about as exciting as the 'shopping centre' could get. What a letdown.

06

07

08

So, made myself a few more sandwich these days. I find them to be quite fun to experiment with. Throwing in whatever you feel like throwing.

And I apologize for the Willi Wonka thingy. I know it plays automatically. I'm finding it irritating too. So, I'm going to fill up more posts (hopefully), and rush that Wonka's song out of oblivion to the archives.

Sitting on the couch in the resource centre, it's just so hard to focus & blog. It's making me yawn every now & then, hypnotising me to sleep. Damn. And I've got a tutorial class at 1200hrs. After that, it's home. Although I'll be back again in school at 1600hrs. Kind of sucks doesn't it? Blame the lousy schedule for that.

And well, not recently, but some time back. Almost everyone's blogger/livejournal/tumblr/xanga seems to be of some depressing stuff. What is this? A down period for everyone? Sigh... Or am I just too happy-go-lucky? I don't know, just spouting nonsense now, trying to make myself stay alert till I get home.

Ahh. No idea what to blog about now. Will just stop here. Till I get some inspiration or what-nots.
