5 Centimeters Per Second

"They say it's 5 centimeters per second.
The speed at which cherry blossom petals fall,

5 centimeters per second."

Yesterday, left home early in the morning. Headed to Zhonghua Secondary School. The journey there...was somehow nostalgic. Sights of the train, the bus, the road, the trees. But things had changed. They always do... The school looks very much cluttered now. A little too cluttered in my opinion.

Saw one familiar face there. It was welcoming, of course.

Realised just how much heavier and slower I am now, as compared to 3, 4 years ago. *laughs*

After that, hopped on the train to town. Caught "Hellboy 2: The Golden Army". I say...it's okay... Give it 3 out of 5? Not a must watch, but can be a time-killer. That was with Valerie, Audrey & Yuting. I'm thinking, it'll be a long long time before the whole lot of us will meet again. What with school & army.

After the show, walked a little, settled at a coffee shop, had a little cup of tea. Not long, it was time to go.

Today, it's the day where I usually spend at home, unwinding, reflecting, relaxing.

I'm at a loss. Don't know what to do, don't know what to feel, don't know which to follow.

Life in the past was better. Though purchasing power were peanuts, still, live was good.

"Where's my compass gone to?"
I feel so lost now. So confused. I've no idea what to choose. To look back at the past? Move on to the future? Or live my fantasy? Sigh~

I don't even know what I'm talking about at all. Hai~~ Think I'll just brood over this in camp for the time being...

Random thoughts. To keep myself happy & going. A few things I'm looking forward to this year.
1)Engineers' Dinner in October. Good food + Good venue + Wickedly awesome No.2 - a Date to go with = Good night's out.

2)Dine-In @ SAFTI. No.2, formal event. Just there for the kicks of it. Hah.

3)Commissioning Parade in December. No.1, here I come!

4)Comms Ball. Time to kick back & enjoy the night.

5)After training phase. Time to head out & meet up with friends. More often, hopefully.

Gurkha & Street Fighter

Hahaha. Been called a Street Fighter while my buddy's been called a Gurkha warrior. Hilarious. A lot had happened in camp, basically. Lots & lots of funny moments.

Had a blasting time today. Boom! Hahaha. But it was tiring of course. Slept at 2300, woke up at 0340. Didn't sleep at all. So, guess I shall head to sleep now. Tired, yawning away. Update the next time round. Can't think properly now.

Piang eh...

Been quite some time since I last entered an entry aye? Well, went to Brunei, back from Brunei, into Nee Soon, back from Nee Soon. Hah. Oh, yea... Got posted into NeeSoon Camp for my next phase of training. I'm not complaining. It's close to my house. *sticks tongue* Just that there's so much uncertainty and such.

So, how was Brunei? Overall, it was... okay, I would say. Didn't turn out as bad as what they people had been describing. The last day was probably the best. Though it's no R&R, at least there was M&M. At least we were in Civi. Oh, oh... Went into their mosque. It was...how do you say? Grand & extravagant. It's like, something out of "Tomb Raider", literally.

Out to lunch

Back from lunch

So... we went to this Water Village also. Basically, just take those kampongs that hangs over the sea, add concrete columns 'stead of wood ones, and multiply by hundred times over. You get the Water Village. Actually, it's quite an interesting place. Homes, Schools and even a clinic/hospital. All over the waters.

What's more amazing, lunch & dinner was buffet style. Yea baby~ *evil laughter*

For lunch, there was this group of Chinese tourists having lunch with us at the same place. Pity 'em... Had to fight for food. You can imagine the scene. 'Bout 100+ soldiers, all wanting their "fair" share of lunch. Some of the more popular dishes were wiped out the moment it was replenished. Whew~

The best moment of this whole trip? The plane ride and especially the touch-down. Whoa~ That feeling was... totally awesome...

Checked out, retrieved my luggage, bought alcohol as usual and even got a ride home from my friend's dad. Lucky bastard. *sticks tongue*

Thus far, Nee Soon doesn't seem so bad. Hope it stays. Kinda... worried things may turn ugly. After all, this is *gulp* you-know-what.

Enjoying my weekends now. Suppose to turn up for Martin's birthday celebration today. But didn't do so in the end. East Coast Park is... just too far & out of the way. Sorry guys... So, I'll just wish him "Happy Birthday!" from here.

Think by the next book out, shall drag some of my friends out. Catch a movie or something. Want to watch "Hellboy" & "Batman" especially.

Forgot to mention, "Bye Jie! Hope to see you soon! (Though I've no idea when that soon will be) Can't have dinner with you & the rest, can't even call (lost in the jungle). So, yup. Heard my brother didn't go too. Only the 2 of us! Tua-pai. =P Saw the photos though. First Class... Waseh... Hahaha."
