Merry Christmas.

Well, it's the festive season of Christmas again. And instead of being outside, with friends & such. I'm being baked away in the house at 40℃.

Well, maybe I should consider being back for Christmas next year. Mainly 'cos it's the time of the year where you spend it mostly with your friends & such. At least for me. As oppose to Chinese New Year, where it's mostly spent meeting up with families/relatives.

Well, it's only 10 more days before I'm on my way back to Singapore. Kind of excited by it, since I'd never been away from my country for so long. Longest being a month. Guess I start my packing now. Shan't leave it for the last minute in case of mishaps.

Merry Christmas then. :)

Question. Why is green & red colors seen as the Christmas colors? Hmph. And it was a pain doing the colors. Not that I had anything better to do though...

Oh, and I'm looking forward to Boxing Day. Heard that there's going to be a sale going on at this game shop.

Bored Ultimatium.

I don't know how many times my posts had been titled "Bored". Quite a number of times though, I believed.

But. This time round, it's like the mother of all boredom. Oh my devil...

So. Bored.

Seriously need to find something and do before I really just rot & die...

Argh... The agony.

On a side note. Had completed Call of Duty: World at War (yes, it's an old game) on Wii 2 times. And... Pizza dinner tomorrow. Going to a friend's place for dinner the day after. And, don't want to think about next week. I'll spontaneously combustion & then die.

Tomb Raider.

Oh the devil.

I can't wait for the trailer to be out. And then the game to be out. So. Egg. Cite. Ting.

But sadly, I won't have a platform to play the game while I'm in Australia. Will just have to wait till I get back to Singapore again to actually play the game. Damn it.

Waitresses are hot.

Woke up around 1000++ hours. Did the laundry. Lunched halfway through laundry. Slacked. And dined in the night.

I was wanting to at least clean a bit of the 2nd floor today. But then got a tad too lazy for that. So, just lazed around the whole day. Sometimes, I wonder what's wrong with the bugs here. It's like, I can kill a mosquito with just my thumb, and kill houseflies with my bare hands. Feats which are nearly impossible to accomplish in Singapore. If only such stuff were that easy to kill back there.

Anyway, been discussing with Jolene about the primary school gathering that's been planning-in-process since forever. I hope everything goes well & that the folks will still be able to talk to each other again. And not some awkward silence through the night. Hahaha.

Went to Northbridge for dinner tonight. And the place is kind of like a nice place at night. To chill and such. Erm... Scratch that. Just the plaza area itself. Where they had this big screen in the open, and a grass patch.

Supreme Pizza (that's the name on the menu).

Tiramisu

Photo sneaked

And well, I'm starting to think that I'm having a thing for waitresses. Hahaha. Seriously, it's like, at a cafe/restaurant, I'll notice the waitresses instead of other patrons, which would usually be the case. And yes, I do think so that the waitress in the photo above do look a few years ago than me. But hey, at least she looks not bad.

And... Am feeling so sleepy now. Was thinking of waking up slightly earlier tomorrow & go for a jog or something. But the chances of it happening are beginning to diminish. How sad. Need to lose some of the extra blubber that I'd gained in the duration of my stay here in Australia.

And, guess I'm going to start my countdown to Singapore soon. Such that it's a constant reminder to myself to get packing. That, and also meeting up with the mates.

How 'em scurvy mates be doing huh, me wonders.

Employment

I don't believed I had mentioned one of the jobs I managed to get. But I'd quit after a single day of work. It's not worth killing my back for it.

That's the environment I worked in. New district, new neighbourhood, new buildings.

The house I was working on. This is only the inside.

So, basically, I worked there as a cement mixer. Mixing & just mixing cement all day long. And wheelbarrow it into the house for the plasterers.

That's the pile of sand I was working with. I was done with half the pile at the end of the day. Felt so much like digging trench.

The pack on the right is some plaster. I think it's highly hazardous, 'cos I'd got a few whiffs of it while pouring it into the cement mixer, it made me felt weird/high instantly. Hahaha. The one on the left is the cement itself. 20kg per pack. FML.

That's the cement mixer. Think it was about 1.8m to 2.0m high. 1.5 bucket of water, 7 scoops of sand, a little plaster materials, 10kg cement, 7 scoops of sand again & let it mix. Add water/sand accordingly to get a melted-butter like consistency. Hahaha. Shows how many times I'd done it to remember.

Beer at the end of the day. It tasted so damn bloody good. Hah.

So, that's the end of my days as a cement mixer. An eye-opener. But never going back ever again.

The day I'd went to IKEA with my cousin to look for her bookcase. Saw this garden bench which looks very casual & chill to me. Would love to have one, but, sadly, I don't really have a use for it, since the exterior of the house isn't really that much utilised.

A hoody which I think looked kind of nice. But I forgotten why I didn't get it. Maybe 'cos it was branded Nike. Perhaps that's why.

Ehh... Sneaked a shot of the casino. Hahaha.

Anyway, well, after the cement mixing job, was suddenly called to worked at the factory on the following Monday afternoon. So, drove down there & started work. Been working there for 2 weeks now. The factory's going to close shop within the week though. Then I'll be left with 3 weeks before my return to the sunny island of Singapore. Am still wondering if I should attempt to locate another job during that time. Maybe I'll try for a seasonal one, for the Christmas period. But it's kind of troublesome around here without a car. That limits my job choices by many many factors.

A bit of the pictures taken from me working at the factory.

40 foot container for shipping products overseas.

The inside of the container. Doesn't look big, but it's humongous.

The laying of the products in the container. Forgotten how far done was this. But I know it wasn't much.

The journey of 2388 cartons/boxes starts with carton/box number 1.

And after a long, long day, all 2388 cartons/boxes accounted for & in the container.

A view of the warehouse with the pellets I'd packed.

And I guess that's about it for any work related post, till I managed to get a new one.

Sometimes, I don't like watching trailer very early in advance. Like the trailer for "Thor", was out quite some time ago. But the movie won't be in theaters till May 2011, so says the trailer.

And the weekend was a horrible laundry weekend. I'd woke up at 1100++ hours. Worked the laundry till 1530 hours. The amount of undone laundry & done but unfolded laundry is scary. I had to do 3 loads of the washing machine for the undone one. It's 2 usually, 'cos of blacks/colours & whites. And there wasn't enough room to hang the clothes, resorting to the line I had constructed above the clothes hanging rack some months back 'cos there were quite a number of people in the house at the time. Scary stuff.

That's 'bout it for now, I guess.

Massage: Oh-so-good.

My beautiful back. Hahaha.

After a session of massage. See the red marks along the mid-back that spreads up in a v-shape? Damn it hurts. And the shoulder & neck area, not too obvious in the photo, but clearer in flesh. The sensation was weird. Everything was like, fucking pain. How I'd wished I could just scream out in pain. It was pain, like no other. Damn it hurts like fuck. Even now, a day after the massage, it's still feeling sore & bruised. And I can't lie down or against hard surfaces 'cos of the bruise. But, somehow, it feels good. Like, I'm feeling alive. Pain makes me feel alive, somehow. One reason why I like pain.

Anyway, still had to work the day after. Somehow, managed to get by. Though I was rather slow in the morning, but gradually, came to adapt to the pain & worked through it. Not too sure if that's a good thing or not.

Oh, and Rose (the massage lady), mentioned that it is true indeed that females are able to take pain better than males. I guess there's no point in arguing that. But then, me & my other cousin kind of discussed that, yeah, girls are able to take pain better than boys. But perhaps guys are better at working with/through pain better than the ladies. Not too sure how true though.

Anyway, that's my new toy. The all new, hyper-realistic graphics racing game. Hahaha. It's just me on the way back home from work. Er Jie came back from Shanghai with this baby in tow. Looks pretty cute.

Oh, and I'm beginning to love the Subway here more & more. Been eating subway everyday for lunch & sometimes breakfast. As well as dinner. Oh wells.

That's it for now, I guess. More updates in relation to work tomorrow. Hopefully.

Work, work, work.

I'm not too sure if there was anything like this in Singapore before. But this is freaking cute.

So, it's been quite some time since I've updated. Sometimes, it's not that I don't want to. But just that I can't find the moment. Or rather, feel the moment to. I hope I'm not growing out of blogging though, 'cos it will be a pity (to me) if I do. Then, I won't have any platform for me to refer to my past & reflect upon it a few years down the road.

Anyway, some photos to tag along with updates.

Er jie's birthday. Celebrated with a dinner at some place.

After which, went over to Veron's place for the cake.

A couple of Saturdays before, was Gen's 16th birthday.

Tonnes of food. I think the cake was huge if I'd remembered correctly.

Took this photo while driving. The sky was so beautiful, so took a picture of it while waiting at the traffic light.

This a picture of the street behind the house. I'm thinking if I should watermark my photos at this rate...

Vic's meatballs.

My potato salad. It came about because I wanted to use up all he spinach & potatoes that were in abundance in the house.

Vic's Blackforest Cake entitled: Sloth & Gluttony. For Jie's birthday.

Company dinner at Burswood.

Buffet style.

Ikea on Saturday. Actually spent a good portion of the day there. Bought stuff, but some stuff didn't work. Damn it. So going to head back there again on Saturday (hopefully) to exchange the goods.

During the week where Er Jie & Jie, along with Er Jie's father, Uncle, went to Shanghai, China. So, 3 cars in my care. Hence the 3 bulky keys.

That's that for the photos update.

There's a few more photos. Stored in my phone, but not transferred to the computer yet. The next time perhaps.

Have been working for the past week & supposed I will be doing so this week. Then that will leave me with approximately 2 weeks before I return to Singapore. Wondering if I should continue looking for another job during this short duration of 2 weeks. Then again, I think I probably should.

Oh, and Jie came back from Shanghai with a box of "Bones" DVD. So am going to chase the series now. Hahaha. Though I've been feeling sleepy & somewhat tired when night falls (that's around 1900+ hours), so, hopefully I'll be able to stay awake for the duration of the shows.

Suddenly felt like watching "My Sister's Keeper". Or maybe reading the book instead. no idea why though.

On a side-note, I think Abigail Breslin is just adorable. Hahaha.

And I'm thinking maybe I should have headed back to Singapore for Christmas instead. Yeah, I know I'm a Chinese, so Chinese New Year should be a bigger of an event right? But CNY is more like a family event thingy. Meeting up with friends on Christmas, specially after not seeing them for almost a year seems more apt. And then maybe huddled round a table in a cafe, having hot drinks while it's pouring horrendously outside. Hahahaha. Listening to too much Christmas songs.
