A New Beginning

So, today's the day. 31st December 2007. Tomorrow will be a new day, a new year, a new life. And guess I'm starting the new year with spring cleaning at my aunt's house. *laughs*

Just 2days back, 291207, Saturday, had a 4E2 Gathering. Half the class went, quite okay. But Jerald didn't turn up, though it was pretty much for him.

Took quite some time to settle down & have dinner. Reminder: if ever in such a big group again, make sure that the venue for dinner is either reserved, or there's bound to be a big place for us. Hahaha. After dinner, ended up at Starbucks. Spent some gay time there.

All in all, it was superb.

Time to wrap things up for this year now.

So, this year... It's been quite hectic, considering that it's my A's year too. What with Dance, Chinese Calligraphy, Lion Dance, etc, etc, etc. It all has been worthwhile. Seriously speaking, I think I've done all I could for A's. It's up to luck now. School wise, hasn't been all that smooth sailing. Mostly, it's just me, myself & the papers. Then there's ODAC, which I definitely know could have done a much better job handling it. But oh well, what's done is done.

'Bout Dance, I must say I was kinda busy with it this year. Had it 3times per week for a period of time. But still, it was cool.

Oh, there's just so much cramming in my head now. I've no idea where to start. But I must say that this year been really really fun too. Saturdays, meeting up with the muggers & usually dinner after that. Gatherings, ever so occasionally (or maybe not). And the time that we had Andrew's Birthday. That was hilarious. Extremely. Him & Macdonald. *laughs*

With the ODAC gang, been out with them quite a number of times already, I believed. Still vaguely remember the time we went to watched "200 Pounds Beauty" *laughs* Oh, and the Ubin Camp that created the embarrassing moments. And still could remember vividly the incident at City Hall MRT last year. *laugh* I supposed that's when it really started. But things... don't seem so promising at the moment. Perhaps I should have made the decision sooner.

Then there's the occasional meet ups with the gang of 104/204. It still is great to meet up & hang around with you guys. *smile*

Ahhh... there's just too much to say. Primary school mates... Sorry for not meeting up with you guys... Really.

Damn... there really is just too much to mention. But i guess what I'm really trying to say, is that this year had been a great year, despite the really, really bad moments in school, outside, anywhere. And I couldn't have done it without all those fun-filled moments with all of you, my friends.

Seeing how forgetful I am, don't worry if I can't remember the outings & fun we had. Because, even if I may forget all those things, I won't forget you guys. I'll be cherishing each & everyone of you. *laughs* I think... I should stop now. It all seems to be getting a bit too... yuck. I can't believe that I'm really posting this one out. But really. I mean it. As with my family. Even though I don't see them as much as I see my friends.

That's 'bout all for this year then. I really would love to put some random pictures from this year, but it was too much of a hassle. And I suppose this is really it. The beginning of a new life.

Oh, and a happy new year to all.

Trdaers Hotel, 221207

Alright, a little bit about food. The time that I went to have the buffet. First and foremost. The main attraction. Steamed crabs.

The pincers are humongous. As big as your hand also have!

This is interesting. Duck, pork, chicken. Buffet. Yea~

This is the meat station. As well as serves noodles. The chicken noodles is good.

This is their sushi bar.

Here, you find the lobsters & crayfish. Behind, you can find the seafood section, offering Fresh oysters, mussels, Alaska crabs. All which are fabulous

Another meat station. They had this turkey that could be the size of your torso

A section of the dessert bar. Offers cakes & puddings. The Blackforest was 4 out of 5 stars. So was the Raspberry Cheesecake

A closer look. See those cups? They're the puddings. One of them was excellent, though I forgot the name...

Another section of the dessert bar. Offers ice-cream. They had coconut ice-cream there!

Muahaha. I believe this don't need an introduction. They have strawberries! That's damn cool. Those dishes you see beside, are the ice-kachang or whatever you can make. Hahaha

Erm, no, this is not part of the food. This is my first aunt. Tasting one of the pudding, looking like a food critic. *laughs*

That's all for the photos. In addition, they have this chef-waiter guy, walking around with skewered food. I seen 5 so far. There was BIG prawns, mutton, beef, chicken wings & sausages. I tell you, their sausages were fantastic. Fat, juicy & the skin was crispy, so it doesn't like hang there & you have to bite & bite. You get the idea. The prawns, gosh...

Hmmm... I suppose that should be about it. Ate till I could puke if I swallowed another mouth of food. Overall, I give it 3.5 or 4 out of 5 bahz. Hahaha.

Merry Christmas

A very Happy Christmas to all.

So, came back from town some while ago. Had dinner with Jerome & Jasmine. Been quite some time since I last saw them. And Keith too. But Shermin's the worst. Been MIA since A's. At least I've seen the rest after A's. Though not much. Oh well... *shrugs*

Sometimes, I don't know if I'm ignorant, detached, cold or just don't care. But, there seems to be many things going on that I just don't know about. I don't know. Maybe I'm just being paranoid from watching some movies/shows & being influence. But still... Oh well... Sigh~

Read sista's blog earlier today. Or rather, Christmas eve day. Remembered that she had wrote the days that were long gone. The days that we had spent, while we were still schooling away. And how did we remember those days? Pictures. The best way to remember things. So, this blog shall be about history, pictures & cameras!

Nah... Just kidding. I know nuts 'bout 'em anyway.

But still, those really were THE days huh, sista. And really, I can't help but feel... Never mind. We can't stop time or reverse it. Can't undo the doings of yesterdays. BUT. We can always decide what we want tomorrow.

Took a detour I did, while coming back home. Was then I realised how much I had like the stillness, the silence, the coolness, the peacefulness of the night. Everything just seems to be relaxed & at ease. Like, like tomorrow will certainly be a day better than today. That's the night for me. And I like it that way.

On a lighter note, going over to my Papa, Mama house tomorrow. Cousins, popiah (I think) &... Nitendo Wii. "It just couldn't get any better than this." Alright, IT CAN, but it's really very nice already.

And a happy new year to all my loved ones.

Bursting

Whew~ Been busy drawing the past few days. Haha. Finally I'm done with that.

News Flash. Went for Lion Dance last night. Halfway through, some really interesting event happened. Heard it was some worker, gone crazy, assaulted a police officer while being arrested. Blows exchanged, legs, hands flying, the suspect flew and was taken done. Heard him screaming while being taken into the police car too. Mad.

Today, went to Traders Hotel for a buffet dinner. Tell you, I ate till I was ready to throw up anytime. Hahaha. More updates 'bout it in the next post. *sticks tongue*

My Emo-Love Story & Night Cycling

Had a very gay picnic on Saturday at Pasir Ris Park. It seemed it was going to rain, but thankfully, did not. Food preparation wise. It was freakin' hilarious. Wahahah.

Oh, and we did something which was rather cool. At the same time, it was very gay as well. My Emo-Love Story. The thought of it just makes me wanna laugh.

Night Cycling was after that. With Nicholas, Yuncong, Shuhua, Shengyu, Joshua, Michelle, Yiwa, Kuoen, Abu & Jasmine. It was great as well. Haha. The bikes we had used, were so much more better than the other time round. Hah. And it's for the same price too. But then, it wasn't really my day. Kept falling down by accident. So, basically, went around town, passed by a few places, blah, blah, blah. Done. Very much fun. Hahaha.

Phuket, 111207 - 141207

So, this is the first time ever that my whole family went on a vacation together. That means father, mother, both brothers, sister-in-law, nieces & me. Mostly, when I go overseas, for whatever reasons, it's just myself. It's a fresh experience.

Oh, it was also the first time my dad ever had a taste of fast food restaurant. Burger King at that.

Had my vacation at Phuket, Thailand. Had to wake up bloody early for the flight. Took off from the Budget Terminal. It was really budget. It's nothing like T1 or T2. It doesn't even look Singapore-ish. *laughs*

So, let's highlight some stuff I did over there.

Went to Carrefour on the first day. They sell some pretty interesting stuff there. Like there was multiple colours of different type of Jasmine Rice. Hahaha.
Had a half day tour, visited these places & did some of these stuffs:

  • Karon beach, pretty interesting. A nice place for couples or friends to go & relax.
  • View point of the coastal area.
  • A cashew nut farm.
  • A pearl factory/warehouse, supposedly controlled by the government.
  • Some shop selling dried goods. They sell worms there too.
  • Lunched at some family restaurant. As in, really family-family.
  • So that ends it for the half-day tour.

Had a massage session at night. I really could get used to such session. It just feels... Great. Especially when they did the neck, shoulders & back. It was heaven.

Woke up very early on 131207, Thursday. Heading for a one day journey to Phi Phi Island.
Snorkeled at the destination. The fishes were very friendly. They bit me. They swam right up to my face. *smile*
Shopped, if that's what you call walking around, looking at items to buy. Due to my mum, who refuses to give in & wants ti kill every single shop-owner.
Did manicure & pedicure. It's really something that I could also get used to. *laughs* Quite enjoyable actually. Ahahah.

So, Friday, last day, did a little more shopping, and returned home. Which is... Friday. But it all seemed so long ago.

There were times when my nieces were quite troublesome. But for most of the time, they were really really cute & adorable. Everyone just love children.

And one last thing, I went to the Red Light District there. It was... exciting, frightening, exhilarating, refreshing & certainly an eye-opener. *laugh*

    Here are some photos. *smile*

    The Budget Terminal. At 0520.
That's the smaller one. Adorable, ain't she?
And the bigger one. Very adorable too, yar? Hahaha

    The area where I stayed
They had a condom prep in the hotel room. Talk about convenient huh
There was this LIFE-SIZE predator there. Really neat
This is the rice I was talking about
    Really HUGE durains
    That's my 2nd brother
    And that's the whole family
    The Three Brothers
We did Live Firing. It was awesome. That's my eldest brother. Managed to get 82% on target. Wicked
Me & my second brother drove the ATV
While the old & the young went for an elephant ride
    Our snorkeling gears
And this is the last of them. There are many more, of course. Hahaha. Not including these in these 2 cameras. I find them cute. Ahah

Well, I supposed that wraps it up for my vacation this time round. Hehehz. It's late. Going to bed now. Very very tired.

    Exhausted

I'm finally back home, sitting on my computer chair, using the computer. It's only been 4 days, yet it seems so long. Oh well, I suppose time would appear much longer when you're tired.

Guan Heng! It's really been very long! When you mentioned that post, I couldn't recall what post that was! Then I start wondering, of all the numerous posts, how many can I possibly remember? Hmmm... Also, I'd never realised my post last time was just so disgusting. As in the language wise. Hmph.

Anyway, it's really great to hear from you once more. Just so to let you know, I'm still going back every Sunday morning. *laughs* And I can still remember the times we had there. How we played while waiting for class to start. How we stayed back and played too, when I had another class after that.

And also! The number of times we had been told off by the teacher whenever we sat beside each other & chatted away while drawing or writing. Ahhh... That was from a time long ago. Still remember the times when the class was so big, it covered half the canteen. Then it became smaller, & we took the classroom. And we, the seniors, had a while classroom to ourselves.

Now, the class is really small. The teacher has changed too. And, I'm like the grand senior now. *laugh* Oh well, time passes. Hope you're doing well anyway. Oh, another thing, when are you enlisting? Hehz... I'm on the 10th January. Fast, I know.

This might be going to be a really really long post now. So, I'll just shorten everything.

6th December, Thursday, went off to chalet. Wild Wild Wet was first. It was fun! Hahaha.Since it was my first time there. *smile*

Yep, so the night was just like any other chalet, had a walked, chatted, watched movie. Apparently, I didn't sleep. Then the next day, early in the morning, met Yun Ting to help her out with her video production. It was a whole day thing. Really, I had to thank her for asking me to help her. It was a really interesting & fun experience. Hahaha. Although there were times of boredom & waiting, it was still very very extremely interesting. Thank you girl! Hahaha.

So, the video production took 1 day & a morning. Afternoon of (my calender's a bit messed up now...) 8th December, yup, was spent packing for my vacation. Then set off in the evening for my class's night cycling. It was... ass-hurting.

Met Jerome on the way though. Haha. Visited Old Changi Hospital. Saw 5 trans in a group. And a few more other small events. Oh, it was hilarious in Macdonald. 'Cos we were waiting for Joshua to return, we waited. Roger & Yuncong were much like tramps, lying down on the chair & falling asleep, till the manager had chased us away. *laughs*

Oh well, memory's a bit foggy now. Perhaps still not enough sleep. Though I had been sleeping for the past 6 hours. That should be about it. 13 hours of sleep in 4 days. Guess that's my personal best. Hah.

31 days left as a civilian.

    星期二, 十二月 04, 2007

Finished watching a few shows lately. Mainly animes though. But there was this one chinese movie, "短信一月追". It's basically a love story, saying how much this guy like this girl & the numerous stuff he was willing to do for her, even if she doesn't realised it. Quite a touching story.

Finished watching an anime titled: "Kamisama Kazoku" & wasn't that bad either. It's a fantasy & says how there's this boy who's a god in training, so he came to live life on earth & learn. Bit ridiculous, but it's alright. There were 2 others, but don't really think it was much of a series. Probably because the ending wasn't much. Left things hanging around. Oh well...

Today & tomorrow... nothing much ain't going to happen. Guess I'm having my wish after all, to slack & rot at home. Heehee. But that didn't come out right. Nothing ever comes out right. I've still got tonnes & tonnes of household chores to do. Hmph.

Oh, and seems like Hen's getting my dream part-time job. Hahs. Good luck to her!

    Performance, 021207

    Kampong Glam 狮团, 四十周年!! OOSH!!

Today was the big day. The day where all my sacrifices during A's, the numerous times (almost a whole week) of going down for practices, the blisters I'd suffered, the leg pain I'd endured, comes to fruit. Today was the performance day.

Had reported to the Community Club at 1400+. Preparation were never enough. Checked & rehearsed till the very last minute. Well, if it's me, I'd said everything went rather smoothly. *smiles*

Thankfully, there were other performances in between all our items. Naturally, giving us more than enough time to prep for the next item. My first item was "大旗舞", literally, big flag dance. It wasn't so bad. In fact, it was perfect. Muahahaha. Then it was a rather long wait to the main event. Lion Dance.

The first section was easy, I've done it before & it couldn't had been any easier with a lighter head & fur. But the ball-walking part was scary. Almost bloody fell down. The back was like rocking from side to side, threatening to drop down any minute. But, thankfully, it didn't, with a little support. *sticks out tongue* Hey, I've only been training with it for 3months alright? And it's only once a week. Hmph. But all went well. *BIG smile* Really have to hand it to miao-shu (our person in charge)

Oh well, it's all over now. Hahaha. Waiting, perhaps for the next overseas trip or ten years later. Then, maybe I'll be going back there again.
