Call Sign Echo.

Am going to have a super-duper late lunch afterward. It's still in the midst of preparation actually. And I've declared that in Australia, going out when the temperature's 36℃ or higher, it's just a chore. Or more like, it's going to be energy draining.

It's no wonder the Sun has so much energy. 'Cos it's just sucking all my energy away. Gosh.

Went to JB-Hi-Fi just now. Saw a few games which I certainly would like to try out. But the games here are just expensive. Period. Besides, I don't really have the console for it.

Feeling sleepy right now. I can just, lie down & fall asleep now.

Call Sign: Alpha-India.

Yep. That sounds prettye good enough. For now. And so, it's like that. Charlie, Hotel, Alpha, Uniform, Victor. Ehh... Pretty much Lima-Echo, Tango-Tango if I Kilo-Papa, India-Tango, India-November. Sigh~

Just Charlie-'Tango, Tango-Echo, India-Tango, Sierra-Sierra.

Lunch's ready. Lunch!... No. Sleep...

30 minutes later...

Finished lunch. Need to find something to occupy myself with...

Oh. Played Hotel 626 yester-night with Vic.

Bake Away!

Went to school earlier in the day. 'Bumped" into Majella & her friend (forgot what her name is). Was actually thinking of returning to school at 1400hrs. For another talk/seminar of sorts. Something about stretching the student dollar. But didn't in the end.

And damn. It's like an oven in here. 41°C today. So, people in Singapore. Complain. But not too much. Hahah. It's 33°C there. Power of Internet.

So, not doing much today. Shifted my bedroom a bit. Then met up with a problem. Seeking professional advice asap. Felt so roasted. Whenever I step upstairs or outside. It's always a blast of heatwave greeting me. Shock. Never had to experience that in Singapore.

Oh well, new places, new experience.

Bar Soaps?

Oh, I've been wanting to do this for some time.

Things people do when they're in a shop accompanying people, but have nothing much to do in the shop
1. If in a soap-kinda shop. Smell the different bars of soaps available. If time permits, sniff through them all & comment on each different scent.

Alright. That's that for number 1. Hahaha. At least that was what my cousin & I did while at this dunno-what-shop. Heh. Was interesting while it lasted. Then when we were out of the shop, she suddenly commented that t=if there is ever a video feed on that area, it'll probably playback with 2 goon-do-s standing at the bar soap section & sniffing the different types of scent available. At that point, I was. OMG. Hahaha. But, oh well. Who cares, right?

And today's weather was just horrible. It never felt so warm & hot in the house before. Wishing I have a pool in the house to dip into right now. Much like Dalvin's place.

Yea right, who am I kidding. HAH.

Mer-jelly.

Orientation still ongoing.

Met Majella today. Saw her & her friend. Chatted for a while at the cafe outside the school's bookstore. After that, headed over to her place. She stays in a hostel actually. So, went to take a look around her hostel.

It ain't that bad of a place actually. Nice surroundings & all... Ain't too shabby in my opinion.

And boy. Is she messy. Hahaha. But I'm guessing that she'll slowly change that bit. For the better of course. After all, she arrived on the 16th. And well, yet to fully settle down. In fact, she hasn't settled down at all... Poor thing. Sigh~

So, here's to her, wishing that she'll settle down soon enough. Heheh.

Yesterday, went to school. There was the Official Welcoming Opening. And then, had my faculty's briefing. After that, was the course briefing. And my course briefing was rather long.

And gosh. My course (at least from that time) has so many Caucasians in it. I could like count the number of Asians I see in it. Well, I shall look forward to working with most of them anyway. Heheh. Ought to be interesting enough.

And I don't know. But I'm like, missing out on a lot of Orientation activities. Sigh~ I don't know. Get on my nerves just some time. Sigh~

Went to watch Valentine's Day just now. It was alright. Not that bad a show. 3 out of 5? Yep. Guess it was quite an apt show for Valentine's period. And... Oh well. Nevermind.

Shall end this off here.Sigh~

Just before I start on my lunch...

A tad late, nevertheless...

Happy Tiger Year!

Year of the Tiger. Still remember 12 years back, TCS (so was Mediacorp called back then) had this kick-ass lame show about Tiger. Apparently, was some kung-fu nonsense. How times have changed since then. TV12, Prime-something... The coloured screen of death.

So, this new year. It's not all nothing down here. You do have the Chinese population here. Eric came over. We went to Dalvin's. Just this bit. And then you start thinking. Small scale. But the one at Dalvin's was literally a party. 80 people. So I heard it.

First day CNY. Skyped with the family, via Papa's account. Oh. Did I mentioned the same happened the day before? Just that my immediate family wasn't around. After all, it was reunion dinner. We don't go reunion dinner with them. Skype's really for cross-used OS. And come to think of it... Nevermind.

Sigh~

Lunar Day 2. Went to school already. Hahah. Just there for some orientation thing. Tuesday and Wednesday as well. Just for that short while. Saw people. Haven't know anyone yet. Maybe I should go have a talk with those who are alone as well. Hahahaha. Surprisingly, there are like group of friends here & there.

Today, they had this Perth trip. To the city & Fremantle. Been there. So, didn't bother to go again. Specially since I have to pay AU$15 to go.

So... I guess that's roughly about it for now. Oh, oh! Cycled to school yesterday! Quite fast. ETA: 12 to 15minutes. But tiring. It's like uphills & downhills. More than flat ground. Oh well.

And no. Cycling DOES NOT help one to slim down. You work your upper thighs & butt, perhaps. But certainly none of the torso. Hahahah. It only serves as a form of carbo-burning.

And DAMN. It's difficult to find a fitness corner around here. You know, like those in Singapore? Yea... Guess will just to be more creative. Maybe I should pick up Parkour here instead. Hahahah.

"And... We're On."

110210
Entry logged at 0103hrs

Alright. I know I'm not suppose to be doing this at this time. Especially when I'm planning to wake up around 0800 to 0830hrs tomorrow. But, I want to.

Oh, I have the date & time logged above, 'cos I'm currently typing this entry on TextEdit. The new place's still Internet-less.

Yesterday, woke up rather early. 0830hrs or so. Slowly prepared myself up. After breakfast, packed up a few more miscellaneous items. Which took me 1hour or so. Then, took a few photos of the old place, uploaded the photos, attempted to put them on Facebook, but failed. 'Cos Eric & Jeff came round by then.

That's when all the men's work start coming in. Shifting fridges, washing machine, book shelf, study desk, beds, dining table, tee-vee, etc. Quite shack.

Hopped them onto this trailer. Transported them to the new place, unload them there & then. Lunch came after. Oh, had chicken rice for lunch. It was good.

Side-tracking, I think it's rather cool that laptop has this buttons where you control the volume. It's very handy. Typing halfway, just with your pinky used to skip tracks or control the volume. Essential at a time like this.

Back to trek. After lunch, I started unpacking everything. It was nightmare. Everything was piled up everywhere. Jie came round around 1500hrs. Basically, the remaining of the day was left to unpacking stuff. Mainly her bedroom & the kitchen area.

Today (more like yesterday, technically speaking), 100210, I'd stayed at home to continue with the unpacking. All the way into the night, 'cos Jie had a dinner appointment. Well, all the better. Can slowly unpack & arrange.

There was this 'quiz/test' I did the other time, during my OCIP. Something 'bout what type of learners you are. Results were quite accurate. I'm better if left alone & no time limit. That's how I like to do some stuff, I guess.

This entry looks really really long now.

Alright, last bit. So, after today. ended "work" approximately 2345hrs. Basically, almost everything's done. Remaining with a few items here, there. Besides that, the interior of the house's done. Even my room, yes. Oh, there's a study desk & book shelf dropping by tomorrow.

Guess tomorrow, I'll start with the outside. Hopefully, I can finish it by mid-afternoon.

Sigh~ Am I getting old? My back aches…

Entry logged at 1717hrs

Yep. Still Internet-less. Not that I'm complaining. Just that I'm disconnected from my family & friends. For now.

But it's a good thing actually. Being disconnected for these 2 days, it allowed me to clean up the house without any distraction. Yes. Any. I mean, without the Internet, I won't be checking on Facebook every now & then. Or play some games. Watch some anime. Read some manga. Wiki here, there. See what I mean?

Not to mention, there aren't many people who walk past the house, not that I can see them anyway.

My new single bed just came in. It's in my room now, with thanks to Tracy Jie & her dad. Shall do the arrangement after this entry. A few chairs disappeared with them too. The garage looks spacious now.

Wonder what time the study table's gonna arrived.

1723hrs. Just done with setting up the new bed & putting the previous one away.

You know why is it that some blogs, their posts are so detailed & such? Well, I think it's because these people have too much free time on their hands. Or maybe they're just procrastinating by blogging. Also, they've had nothing better to do. Explains why my recent entries are so long. And kind of detailed. They're like, fresh out of the oven entries.

Oh. I'm a little disappointed with my room. Realised that it kinda face the sun.

So, for the afternoon, the sun shine through the window. As such, I don't dare to leave all my electric appliances (i.e. chargers, USB cables, HDD, laptop, etc.) by the window sill. And on the table as well. Afraid it'll spoil or shorten the lifespan. Anyone knows if it will really do any harm to them? 'Cos it's like, space wasted. Sigh~ Now, I can't even put my photo frame there. Sure will spoil & de-colour one. Damn it.

Waiting.

So, the new Internet is up. Went for dinner with one of Jie's associates/friends. Adrian. Chinese cuisine for dinner. Came back home, Skyped. Saw 三姨, along with Ah-Bee & Edric. Showed them round the house. And yea. 'Bout it. Shall do some uploading of photos tomorrow afternoon. Taking a walk around in the morning. Maybe go for a run? I don't know. See how things go.

Curses

Eh... My first weekend in Australia. Was my first visit to a petrol station today as well. Weekend was pretty much spent in the process of shifting house.

Realised Rebecca had landed in Australia as well, and already started with Orientation. Neat. But. She stays really far from me. That means Chern Hui as well. Hahah.

Oh, did I mention I had roasted duck rice last night? It was awesome. Muahahaha.

And I give up trying to enroll in my units/classes. Shall ask Tracy Jie for how-to before I attempt anymore. It's driving me exasperated. Online. Sometimes, it's really cool, but sometimes, it just sucks. Especially when they give you a long long list of FAQs. With only a specific email address for a specific problem. Sigh~

Thankfully, I'd already done all my other online-necessary-stuff. Like applying Tax Reference, activating my student account, blah, blah. Hmmm... I think almost everything's done now. Just waiting for house to shift finish & school to start. So exciting. New house, new school, new environment.

Australia

So, it's my 4th day here in Aussie Land.

D Day

Departure day was... Rushed. Got to the airport, checked in, went for breakfast, then off to catch my flight. Thank you all who came. Namely, Hazel, Nicole, Colleen, Regina, Andrew, Alex, YuTing, Susanna, Curina, Shihui, Xinyi, Lionel, Marie, Jerome, Meixing, Keith, Shermin, my Papa, Mama & of course, bro, mum & dad. And thank you to those who text-ted me as well. Hazel, Kristelle, Jasmine, Rachel & very possibly a few more. Hahaha. Oops. Sorry.

But damn. Apparently, someone was very happy with my departure. Oh well, shan't bother. 3,898km away. That's far.

Back to topic. Departure was rushed. No doubt, with that many people. The moment I passed custom, I quickly double-checked my berth. Next thing I know, I was running towards it. And damn was it FAR. Thankfully, I hold the biometric passport. Allows me to clear custom much much faster, instead of the usual queue.

I reached my berth, literally sweating & panting. Imagine. In Changi Airport, sweating. What a joke. Was kind of embarrassing as well. Somemore I had so many pieces of items. A trolley, a backpack, a rather big recycle bag. And to top it off, those humongous paper stash tube. Alright. Maybe with the tube, it wasn't that bad. At the most, people will just think of me as some artist or what. Which I'm pretty sure what those stares meant.

Plane ride. Exciting. Food. Bad. SIA food tastes better, in my opinion. Oh, oh. Temperature outside plane was like -53°C. Caused the sides of window to frost up a tiny bit. And the window felt really really cool to the touch.

Touched down! 4½hrs later.

Waited quite long for my luggage. Wondered why. Fieldpack was an okay wait. But my duffel bag caused me to be one the last few people to check out. Oh. The custom lady was really friendly. Hahah.

So, the first day, touched down, first stop was the factory. Saw a few people there. Whom I think I'll be seeing more of. After that, went for a little grocery shopping. Then, it was home. The place was really sweet. Small place, ya, but 'twas quite cosy. Spent the rest of the day at home. Alright, there was some moving around. But not much. Supermarket next door, and a shop few blocks down the street.

D+1 Day

2nd day. Jie took the day off. Went looking around Perth. Mainly, the district I was in, the city of Perth, and also went to my school. Checked it out.

The city was... unlike Singapore. Singapore's CBD is really pack and all. Shopping centre district, Orchard Road, more impressive than here's. But it's spacious here. Big, open space. Yup. They had this commonwealth bank of Australia or something. Kind of interesting building. Different design than the rest. Stands out a lot.

Got my handphone as well as open bank account on this day.

Had a look at the new place today. It's big. It's humongous. It's like your typical western style house you see in those older english movie. Pretty nifty place. Upload photos when shifted there officially. Damn, I'll prolly double upload photos again when the time comes.

D+2 Day

3rd day. Went to Jie's workplace. She works at some shopping centre. Thankfully, I'm good at keeping myself occupied if left alone. 'Cos I'd brought my MacBook there, but it died on me 1½hrs later. And I didn't brought my charger with me. Pathetic, right? At least there was this stack of paper and some writing materials, along with my iPod. Had wanted to get a comic book, so that I could at least copy & learn some of the drawing styles. BUT. They had no comic books at all! Not even a copy of Batman or Spiderman or Ironman or X-Men, not to mention Superman as well. Sigh~ Created some doodles in the end. Created Evil Eve & Evil Wall.e in the process.

D+3 Day

That's today I'm logging this down. Day 4. (This is like some, post apocalyptic diary. Or some, post deep space biological disaster log.) Anyway, same as yesterday. Exception. I got my MacBook up & running. Allowing me to do this right here, right now.

D-1 Day

Went for my chinese calligraphy class as usual. In the morning. Afternoon, went to Papa's and dropped off my luggage. As well as did a little of repacking. Late afternoon was spent roller-skating. Now that I'm more proficient with it. It's pretty fun. Hahahah. Went with the Midnight Crew, minus Nicole. And we have an addition to the group as well. Hazel! Hahah.

After blading, dinner was spent with Papa, Mama, Korkor & Winnie Jiejie. Headed back to Papa's after dinner. And dinner. Was really really filling.

Night approaches, headed out again. To Chomp-Chomp this time. Naturally, with the Midnight Crew. Nicole, Hazel, Regina, Alex, Yu Ting, Andrew. Supper/dinner there, then headed to Lower Pierce Reservoir for some relax & chilling out. Spent quite some time there. Then to Hans for a little bite. Then, home sweet home. I believed none of them slept much. Me. Slept an hour. Reached Papa's at 0430hrs. Gosh.

And that's pretty much my last night in Singapore before I departed for Australia.

Oh, did I mention I had set up my Skype account now. As well as installed MSN for Mac. sadly, the MSN for Mac isn't what I expected. Not as good as the one for Windows. Or maybe it's just the wrong version. Hahah.

Is my Mac considered... Macintosh OS X? Anyone? Hahaha.

And i just realised. I can't see my Bradley Hand font on Mac. Damn. And if i switched font, doubt anyone else can see it. Damn.
