Car Trip.
Whew~ What a day was yesterday. Head out home at 0830 or so.
Yesterday was the car/road trip (rented a car) with me & my brother. Went to quite a few places. Namely, Salvation Army at Bishan, to drop some items. Then there was Ikea. And then Marina Barrage & Henderson Waves. Oh. It was my brother's first ever time to Marina Barrage. He tried driving there before. But got lost. Haha. But he's been there now. It was also my first time to be at Henderson Waves. Hahaha.
Then, there was the way to Sungei Gedong. Damn... That Lim Chu Kang road is just the most awesome road ever. Got to speed like nobody's business.
Went to The Rail Mall. There was this Old Ford Factory there as well, which, of course, we visited. Never knew such a place existed. Apparently, there's a museum there as well. That was 'bout it for the car trip. Went Dome at Dempsy for the waiting game. Then over to Raffles City to pick up the cousins.
Funny. How one of them mistook Raffles City for Raffles Place. And the message was passed down as Raffles Place. Cutes.
Went Sunset Grills & Pub for dinner (Thanks for the meal cousins!). And then to SMU's Ice Cold Beer for some alcohol.
And that, pretty much wrap everything up. Oh, almost forgot. Chilled a while at the Seletar dam road.
It was fun, no doubt. But sadly, when we were renting this car, on the paper work, I was listed as 2 months driving experience. Can you believe it? 2 freaking months. What a laugh. And something was definitely amiss when I was driving. But we didn't care. Well, at first I did. But I didn't later on. Didn't really make much of a difference.
Oh, there was like, this one heart-stopping experience while I was driving too. Apparently, I get kind of stress when there's quite a number of cars.
So, what happened was, I was behind this heavy vehicle. Wanted to overtake it, so had to switch lanes. Checked. Switching lanes. Suddenly, this silver car (which I must have misjudge his speed or something else), came out of nowhere, on my right. It was like a split second thing. I swerve back in. Almost hit the heavy vehicle. Missed the silver car by what must be a few centimeters only.
After that, I was like. Whoa. Made my heart skip a beat. But it was quite an experience. You must think I'm mad now. But I'm not. Okay? I'm not. And no, I don't have a fear of driving. Yet.
Oh, oh. Was my first time driving in heavy rain condition as well.
So, the car was returned the next day. My brother used it to drive himself to school. After that, drove it back to the shop. 2 months experience. Luckily, nothing happened. It was quite a pleasant drive. Though at Marymount, there was some traffic. But it was manageable. After that, pretty much smooth sailing.
What a day.
